I wish I'd gone to college in 1823 [Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, 2:48 pm]
See, my lit. class is using Mainememory.net to find all kinds of historical documents and images about our selected topics, and I came across Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's tuition bill from Bowdion College in 1823. It was $14.25 for one term. And something like 33 cents for books? What is the tuition now - $30,000 per year? Talk about inflation.
Well, I've got other things could be doing now (I won't bore you with the list), so I'll write a real entry later.
