So, this is funny. Because I said so. Or maybe just because I work in the mail room. That was featured at the USM film festival tonight - much fun. As usual, there were some duds, but also some very well-done, funny, and/or amusing films. And we got to dress up, which was even funner. Speaking of the mail room, we were bored today, and so we came up with these. A lot of them are probably applicable to college mail rooms anywhere... You know you work in the USM mail room when: -You're up to date on all the news and celebrity gossip, and yet you don't have a subscription to anything. -Certain people's names constantly strike you with recognition, and then you realize you don't know any of them. -You laugh when you see someone struggling with their mailbox, because you always get your mail from the other side. -You know where random people (and all friends) live, and you don't find that creepy at all. -Facebook is a part of the daily routine. -You can recognize every current credit card offer just by looking at the envelope. -Two words: work equity -The radio is your friend. -You used to be afraid of heavy lifting, but you aren't anymore. -Your level of creativity rises when you discover that anything can be made out of a cardboard box. -You know where every department is located, even though you haven't been to half of them. -You realize how lucky you are to not have many of the last names you come across. -Whenever you see any kind of yellow card, you can only think of one thing: packages. -You know exactly how many people on campus share either your first or last name. -You become REALLY annoyed when people layer envelope flaps. -You can never have enough pens, and the ones you do have always seem to disappear into a vortex somewhere. - Paper clips have their own special super powers and you are drawn to them no matter what you do. Miss anything?
