'Tis the season to be jolly and joyous [Wednesday, Dec. 01, 2004, 7:33 pm]
Is it really December already? My goodness. Time to rent "A Muppet Christmas Carol". Yes, the Christmas season is here. And that also means it's time for WHOM 94.9 to start playing Christmas music 24/7. I'm lovin' it! I've heard Josh Groban's new song "believe" a few times already. Wow. It's lyrically sappy at times, but his voice more than makes up for that. When are we going to get a full-fledged Christmas album from that boy? And he's gonna be on TV! Although I won't be here for it. I'll be at my employer's house for the first real Christmas party I've been invited to in a long time. So, heads will be rolling if my family members don't tape it for me. And just for the sheer joy of it, I have compiled what I believe to be my 10 favorite Christmas songs of all time, and I'll be adding some of their lyrics to my future entries. #10 "Carol of the Bells" by Point of Grace #9 "The Chipmunk song" by the Chipmunks (and the version with Jaci Velasquez is pretty funny too) #8 "Last Christmas" by Wham #7 "O Holy Night" by Josh Groban (although I like Kris Neville's version of it too) #6 "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" by Burl Ives (from the Rudolph TV special) #5 "This is Christmas" by Plus One #4 "All I want for Christmas is you" by Mariah Carey #3 "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" by Judy Garland (from the movie "Meet me in St. Louis") #2 "Don't save it all for Christmas Day" by Avalon #1 "Little St. Nick" by the Beach Boys Speaking of the Rudolph TV Special - it comes on in a few minutes! I'll be watching, even though I have plenty of more scholarly things I could be attending to. *Laura*
(although words typed on a screen are hardly accurate representations of true Beach Boys harmonies) Miss anything?
